That is of immense help, thank you! At least now I know how the cable is supposed to be and if the straight through doesn't work, I will open up the keypad and/or control box and make sure everything at least connects through to the circuit boards or whatever is inside. The jack on the control head...

As per Krazer's request, here's some tips I've learned over time filming lasers. I have found that there are several important criteria that lead to good laser video. You will need a camera with at least basic manual video controls to get good results. I use a Nikon D610. Perhaps the most...

It is a regular 6 pin RJ-12 phone cable (two phone lines in one cable), which is a 6 pin version of the common 4 pin RJ-11 phone cable. Should be "straight through" pin 1 to pin 1, 2 to 2 etc. IF you have or can find a 6 pin RJ-12 to 6 pin RJ-12 phone cable (just run to radio shack :D ) you should...

This really is an amazing show, thank you for releasing it! I also must say, your filming quality is superb - can you share a bit on your setup? Do you do any postprocessing to get the perfect blacks and color balance with absolutely no flicker? Playing your video on an OLED panel is...

I made this show for SELEM and there's been some interest in it so I decided to release it. UPDATE: I now have two versions of the show. The original shown in the video is optimized for 50k. I also have a slightly simplified 30k version that keeps the refresh rate high without loosing too much...

Purchased this hazer direct from pea soup awhile back. Amazing results! Paid $3600 with shipping to get it here. Comes in a road case, dmx interface and regulator. The hazer puts out a ton of volume, hang time seems to last forever. Uses very little fluid. I still have a full gallon out of two...

I recently picked up an ancient G-Scan & Keypad but it was missing the 6-pin cable to connect them. Anybody have an idea about what the pinout for that cable was? I have tried making one straight through and reversed. One way gives me a led on the keypad and the other doesn't, but neither have any...

Ive got a pair of 3W starbursts used primarily for gfx/abstracts. They're great little projectors! The scanners are advertised as 40k, but theyíre really more like 34k. Color modulation could be better on the low end, but for the price, they're great projectors and Iíll put up with that *retardo ...

I've decided it's time to get a couple projectors with a little more power. The Venus systems around 2.5W I saw at the club during SELEM seem about right. the Dark laser is just a uv or Ir laser. It is well known that if you overdrive a laser diode out of its heatsink it will rapidly begin to emit in the 10 micron region and become a continuum though non coherent source of Ir radiation. If you continue to input energy eventual after sweeping...
