The glasses are PHMDs (projective head mounted display) also known as HMPDs (head-mounted projective display). These have existed since the 80s, but shrinking of reflective microdisplays into the sub-inch sizes and development of high power monochrome LEDs suitable for pico video projection has...

I have the manuals and the software from RMI. It's the connection from marking head to PC that I need. Like I said, i dont have the DAQ card and cables that RMI originally provided with the system for the control interface.

Can you show what's on the other side of that 37 way connector? If it's one of the common marking interface cards, you may be able to drive it with free software without too much additional hardware.

I am currently looking at 3w RGB systems from Goldenstar, Lightspace, and Able. I called Pangolin to ask about how to control FB4 from the Virtual DJ plugin they have available and was made aware of their own Club Lasers line. I was told they would outperform what Lightspace offers, particularly...

I hate that they use the term "gain" to describe how bright a screen is. They should be talking about reflectivity. Grrrr. To further complicate things, the "gain" that most screen manufacturers quote is actually a comparison to a standard coating, like titanium dioxide, and not a measurement...

Please see image annotated. At 8 watts you need Optical Density Six, ( OD6 ) safety glasses to work on this if you have to adjust the hardware. Its Q-switched, so the pulses are insidiously dangerous if viewed by the naked eye. Reflections are an issue with that short pulse length. Even...

i started with white light bulbs that I added gel sample packs. I made little spot lights. I then make 3d cut outs of different geometric designs and let the light pour out from slits behind it to color the surface. That was all run off a regular 120v color organ kit from radio shack four bands....

You should be able to suss out ground pretty easily. Hook one probe of a meter to the power ground and touch the other probe to each of the five pins. 0 ohms will get you ground. Polarity would be the least critical once you've found ground. Are there traces to all 5 pins?

Tomé un antiguo banco de filtros paramétricos y lo hice con 5 filtros. Puede escuchar su salida...
