It's the size of another Saturn galvo mount sitting right next to your galvos plus the driver. Saturn galvos in their mount are pretty small, of course, so much smaller a footprint as compared with a coffee cup or beer can. Yeah, PJ, I use this to combine 405nm with everything else. The...

That *is* an improvement then! :) I just learned that in addition to Mike Dunn, and Master PJ, and David Kumpula, Lyra Letourneau is also working on new shows that will include Beam Brush effects. So it would appear that we've all got some very cool content to look forward to seeing in the...

How small is this latest incarnation of the Beam Brush idea? I remember Bill talking about Beam Brush way back in 2007 at the first SELEM, and he said that while the very first version that he got working years earlier was something quite large (as in, somewhere between the size of a coffee...

It's bad enough that people would argue about something as inconsequential as the type of car Bill drives, but with regard to the Tesla in particular, I agree with David in that choosing to drive a Tesla is a smart choice that benefits not only the owner, but everyone on the planet (in terms of...

No, this stuff is based on quatenary amines. (Technically it's n-Alkyl Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride and n-Alkyl Dimethyl Ethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride, if you want the chewy stuff.) The idea is that the casing around a virus (as well as the cell wall around a bacterium) has a negative...

That's great, thanks Brian! I should have enough info to build the DigiMAX (attached images) but multiple options are a plus. One thing I would ask is, at what ever time you are ready to send the control panel, please check with me before shipping, as I will be out of province for a few weeks...

I've got a old project (35 year ago) with some d/a & a/d converters. It was a hack to plug into an old AT, but it worked. I can stuff it in with the control panel if you'd like it. It shouldn't be hard to connect it up to the C64's expansion port:

Which appear on the pins A input 1 and B input 1 of the "U9 QUAD 2-1 TRI-STATE MUX" 74LS237 according to the schematic. Good, so external inputs were not an impossibility. An interesting result was finally obtained by seeding some registers used by the MYSTRY routine. One of the attached photos...

... I've simulated (with discrete setups and "evolved") and tested some beam-optics with different lenses for monochromatic beams (high-power LED's and lasers) and found the results with aspherics and achromats comparable and much better than with "normal" spherics ... the wider the beam (or...

if you beam is 3mm and the lens 10mm or more and you only use the center how does it make a difference. I get what your saying but the nature of this beam seems to render the issue a non issue. ive build many a beam expanders and never found pcx to be an issue. If I use flat pcx in I use flat...

It turns out that the MYSTR2 and MYSTR4 routines and all the data are just the graphics that appear at the end of the song Synchronicity2. That leaves the MYSTRY routine that accesses the sine table and is doing something when it's 9 bits of input are stimulated. I wonder if it's possible that the...

Yes that will be a given. Wanna see how things look with so many wavelengths on video too. I'm assuming you are using really narrow band pass (I think that's what it's called) dichroics so you can combine both 405nm and 445nm without too much losses.. I think i've seen those in the past.. unless...
