There are several suppliers in China that can sell you the diode modules you'll need to build another projector, including Goldenstar, Able, and OptLaser, but if you only want something in the 500 mw - 1 watt range, you might be better off building your own modules. That does change things, from a regulatory standpoint at least. I'm not familiar with Canadian law in the slightest, but I've heard people explain that the regulations for lasers in Canada are similar to those in Europe, which is to say that they're not nearly as restrictive as the US regulations...

Here's a new show. It's a combination of LSX and Radiators. It's a three projector show with two 30k projectors on Radiators and a 60k projector for LSX native content. The Radiators are being driven via midi from the LSX timeline. Hope you like it!

Cutting with a tube is a great idea. I drilled the centre out of an old school 1&1/2" thick mirror blank to have the option of turning a Newtonian into a Cassegrain. It worked well, bit slow going but did the job. Thanks for the source. Craig

I agree on all points, without disputing Brian's suggestions for creating an optimal beam profile, if starting a projector build from scratch. But, all of those components probably won't fit inside most production projectors. Yeah, who doesn't love TEM00 beams from ion lasers? I love just watching...
