Better diode control?
Hey nerds..
I noticed that the diodes in this projector I am servicing does not have the same control of the modulation. I "slams" on. B
Both the blue and red laser diode do this. On the meirlight RGB projector it does not and is much smoother through the color transitions. So is my ttl votlage to high? If so, should a dropping resistor to limit the ttl voltage take care of it?
Frustrating.

If its TTL, greater then 2.4 volts is on, period. No changing of the TTL voltage or slew rate will change the rise/fall times. Are you sure the lasers are TTL? If you drove a analog input with TTL you'd see fast rise times.

Yea they are ttl and I have my DAC setup to TTL. I have corrected all the pre and post blanking and really tightened up the beams, but still missing the smooth transitions from color to color... Dam blinky lights!!:bomb:

You won't get smooth transitions with TTL. They are either full on or off. You need analogue control and drivers for smooth transitions.
