yes indeed it does run on single phase its as I bought it 4 years ago.

I remember that if there was not enough filtering caps the filament choke would buzz, and with time and getting hot the paper between the wireing of the choke would get discolored and could present a fire hazard and your PS appears to have much bigger caps than laser nerds. His is very old school, just like the ones I have :)Quote:

Looks to me like really good work.
I dont think it is a retrofit...it is just a newer power supply than the oldschool ones with the old style flow switch. It appears to be factory to me.Quote:
