405nm+532nm Scanning (pics and video)

so the other night i finally got around to adding some 405nm to my scanner :)

i used the new reflect blue (473) 25mm laser wave dichro and mount for mixing

here are the results-

So this is 405nm + 532nm? Do the pics represent what it looks like in real life?

yes the pictures are pretty accurate. the all blue seems to be a little more purple in person but mixed it looks like that teal

How many mW of each going on in there?

the 405nm is set at 150ma and the green is a 500mw laser wave green turned down quite a bit :)

That might be an "almost affordable" way to pump up the blue in my RGB.

Were you able to find just the diode, or did you disassemble a DVD sled?

cheapest way to do it is just find the sleds... anywhere from $18-33 dollars

some people will also extract the diode for you for a couple extra dollars and even press them in a aixiz module for another 4-5 dollars

the extracting of the diode is VERY EASY and pressing the diode in a module is also simple as long as you have a vise
