I altered your drawing a bit regarding the wiring from the wall plug:

I'm pretty sure it's a grounding issue, so rewire it according to this diagram. You'll need to use a grounded plug (an easy source is a power cord for a computer) and connect the ground connections in your projector to the green ground wire in the cord. Neutral is not the same as ground. In the above diagram, I have added the ground wire and colored it green.

Also, you'll need to connect the modulation wires from the laser power supply to the breakout board green laser terminals (6 and 19).

I don't know where exactly you are in Illinois but if you need any hands on help; I'm here in Lake Geneva which is right on the border.

    Matt-

I responded to your PM also, but you NEED to have a ground plane!! you can not run a laser light show projector with no ground reference.

Add in a ground (earth) from your input plug and refer to the Wiring diagram i sent you yesterday.

We'll walk you through this, but i am a little bit concerned because it seems as if you don't know how to use a DMM. That is not a skill set to lack when building something electrical. especially as sensitive as laser systems.

Please understand, i am in no way putting you down, but you may want to learn some basics of electical theory and troubleshooting.

Hi Matt, double check that you have the x+ and y+ going to the + in pin on the galvo amp. Next, verify that they are getting a signal by putting your dmm in ac volts mode and measuring the voltage across the input at the galvo amps.

i think i wrote that wrong, i do know how to use a dmm, but im always cautious about using a dmm with lasers because it seems like i could find a wrong reading and screw everything up. and i looked over your link. thanks =]
also, im waiting for my electrical theory book to come in.
