Just have alligned the lasers over a distance of 10 meters.
Installed the pcaom and voilla i got RGB (note that i still have no driver unit)

Beeing a Ham Radio operator is a plus for me, i took a RF generator and hooked it up.
The generator does not modulate and it's output power is low.
Nevertheless, when shifting frequency the 0-order line comes vissible (weak)above the beam and also changes collor.

Can't wait to pick up the driver...

Thanks sofar for the help, Photonlexicon rocks!

How about a few pictures of that pretty white light beam?

I tried but did not succeed with my phones camera...
Will charge some batteries and try it with another cam.

By te way, the beam is 3 rays RGB when leaving the pcaom and white before that (even i wont say it is realy white.... maybe i'm a bit collor blind.

Once you get the proper driver on that PCAOM, you should be able to get a white beam out of it.

    Another dumb question

This 40 mW HeNe and 400 mW Argon, for which roomsize/audience can it be used?

That depends on a lot of factors. Graphics require far less power than beam shows do. Having a good bit of fog or haze in the air makes the beams much easier to see. And having any ambient lighting in the room makes the beams harder to see.

I also question whether you'll actually get those power levels out of that projector. My guess is that the HeNe will top out at around 30 mw, and the argon at around 200 mw. Then too, you're going to lose 15 to 20 percent across the PCAOM. So realistically, you're looking at a 200 mw projector at the aperture.

In an ideal setting (completely dark room with just the right amount of fog), this projector would produce an impressive beam show in a room about the size of a 3 car garage. For a graphics show under the same ideal circumstances (completely dark room, and a bright white screen to project onto), you could probably pull off a show in a room two or three times larger.

The key is to get rid of all other lighting in the room. You really need it to be dark!

But if you're looking to do a beam show in a large nightclub, you're going to need more power, both because most nightclubs are fairly large spaces, and because they have lots of other lights on which will overpower your beams.

The PCAOM, when not energized, outputs a waste beam (means the beam is off) that is a spectrum like your seeing. You need a driver to align the PCAOM. Take the PCAOM out to align things for now, but note CAREFULLY how it is installed, it has a input side, a output side, a UP, a DOWN, and a sweet spot inside the crystal.

If all is well, i will receive tomorrow 2 cambridge 6800 galvo's and the amps.
    Also a 6ch pcaom driver.

Now this laser enclosure is verry heavy....
Is it possible to break it in 2 and take fiber optics to deliver the beams to a separate enclosure?

If so, where can i buy these optics?

    Thanks!

    Whow... that's some loss

Well then, i might refurbish it, sell and get me a more suitable setup.
