No, this is a laser manufactured by lasever. A one watt module is not comparable to the "old low power models" with some issue.

This http://www.laser-wave.com/en/2010/0111/article_23.html is the 1W Laserwave laser.
(A closer look will show some difference in exterior design with the Laserwave).

Lasever LSR532H serie look like as any other DPSS module because it's a DPSS module !!!

Analog modulation is 30KHz without issue (tests soon). Other have usually 10KHz max. analog

nice review!! Looks to be a nice laser. I especially like your beam profile pic.. what did you use to produce it?

I used Paint Shop Pro (recent Corel version) to apply a "3D color delimiter" filter. I not remember the exact name in menu, but it's very easy to do this with any photo software...

With this filter on PSP you can tune :

    The number of bands (limits)
Direction of the "3D" effect (limit design)

It's perfect to view a beam shape.
I suppose it should not be very complicated to make a real 3D view of laser beam light repartition with some software !

    Pascal

Edit : Attachment of software screenshot...

    Cool review, nice pictures.
I like the 3KM pic. Did you point the camera upwards or towards the beam (and shooting the beam over the camera ?)

Also well done with the effect in psp !

Finally lasever makes a nicer quality driver.

really enjoyed your review and 30mm after 34meters is very nice!
    I didn't fail !
I just found out 10,000 ways that didn't work.

Thanks for the screenshot! I'll have to keep that in mind.. it's a cool way of doing a profile.

    Default More informations...

I buyed this laser from Sébastien (SBK), A new seller for Lasever (http://www.sbk-laser.ch This site is going to be replaced by his shop.)
I'll must post a "seller review" because SBK has answered all my technical questions very quickly and in French!

A "Cokin" high quality polarized filter can totaly pass or totaly cutoff the beam. Laser have real 100:1 output.
    Polarized goggle -> burn.
Other cheap DPSS module I have -> polarized filter can't cutoff the beam.

Yes look like this CNI head http://www.laser2000.fr/index.php?id=367222
but this CNI driver is only TTL 10KHz vs my Lasever 30KHz full analog...
