    Default IR filter

I'm trying to find a nice IR filter to use for scientific applications. Ideally I'd like to have something like >95%T in the Vis region and OD >3 at 700-1100 nm. Does anyone know of such a filter?

I've been looking in the Thorlabs catalogue and can find no such thing in the edgepass filters - they merely have 80%T and too small rejection range. Should I just go with bandpass filters?

I've always used SCHOTT BG-38 or -39 absorption glass with good results. The semrock above might be superior, though.. I don't have experience with semrock, myself.

Semrock makes the best in the world, his 90T spec means he's heading for something better then your average Newport or Thorlabs dielectric filter, and Semrock is most likely to have one near his spec.

However I will hear the scream, some five hours and ten minutes AFTER he sees the price..

    Try messaging ebay seller bjomejag

He's pretty good at finding applications of his surplus and commercial stuff (omega optical) , give him a day or two to find something for you.

Hehe, I've seen some of semrock's prices... but, I'm not the one paying for this equipment

Couldn't find that particular article Steve, but I'll mail them tomorrow and see what they say.

This one seems nice though: http://www.semrock.com/Catalog/Detai...&CategoryID=71

    >98%T 450-700 nm, but little information about how it looks in the NIR.

    Only $420

Haha, and I thought it was a product number. With all the things you know I wouldn't be surprised if you actually had one ready.

I'm not buying anything from ebay though, because then I first have to pay for it myself and not get the money back until a month later.

Order it from his company then, omega optical, he sells his overruns on ebay.
Still, if anyone has one, its omega bob.
