Default My Tiny Tiny 1watt RGV build

it feels like ages since i got my teeth into a proper project and posted it here. so here goes...

having seen the 1watt kvant i was very impressed by the size. so i thought ummm wonder how hard that would be to do the same??

    now kvants measures 264 x 175 x 180 mm -

    http://www.lasershow.sk/products/39-...ler-and-faster

mine measures 220x170x90mm and by my maths that = half the size

    power -

    2x 215mw 405nm diodes
    2x 275mw 650nm diodes
    1x 50mw green module

so total power before optics will be 1030mw

    Thumbs up

Hey andy, let me know if you need any more internal shots. I am going to add a shutter and have taken the back plate off to see where to run some wires.

Are you planning on sending a beam down from that upper level?

im open to any pics thanks mate.

im already looking at selling this and moving onto more power, over double the power

im interested to know what green they use as it goes.

and yes the top beam will be bounced down to the bottom level

    Hi Andy,

What blu-ray diodes are you using? Because I'm building an RGV as well and I'm interested in what diodes you use .

    Lightbulb

The green is a 300mW Viasho; since I got the Kvant I realize how badly we need a green diode to swap out our green DPSSs with. The modulation doesn't even compare; the green is definatly the weak link.

ah ok thanks, green is the let down. Ive worked out that using a lasever 700mw green i could get an out put power of 2.5watts in a case smaller than a 1watt kvant case. That would b with a decent set of scanners to

    Default rgv

nice one andy will it be ready for the next lem
i would worry about using a lasever in such a small case they do chuck out a lot of heat. i had enough trouble keeping the 300mw one i had running properly because of heat problems
