Heh! Now the work really begins! (Trying to figure out how to use LivePro!) Trust me though, it's worth all the time you'll spend playing with it. I've had it for quite some time now, and I'm still learning. But once you get good at it, you'll be able to do *awesome* shows with it!

I've ordered Mark's DVD, so I'm looking forward to that arriving

I had the opportunity to use it at a gig for about 6 hours or so, and was able to get some pretty awesome stuff out of it. I've got a few MIDI controllers, so I managed to hook one up to use which was cool (M-Audio Oxygen 8 although I'd like to get the BCF-2000 and Novation Launchpad going too). LivePRO sure beats the old Laser Grafix Midas controller I used in Zimbabwe!

I've been trying to find some workspaces for it. I contacted Glenn Turner about the Playtime 2007 workspace. He said he's going to try and find it for me. Does anyone else have this to share? I know Glenn's a busy guy.

Today I received a replacement dichro from Dave (thanks Dave ), so I need to swap the green and red lasers round (as the configuration will need to be green->add red->add blue) and check out the difference. A power meter is now high-up on my list, so any recommendations for an economical and reliable instrument are welcome

Check the PL FTP server. I think there are a few different workspaces there...

Thanks Adam, but unless I've taken one hit to the eye too many, I can't see any there!

    Cool

    Hmmm...

I'll see if I can't remedy that situation.

...and just an update on this projector...

I had the 532nm removed, tested as under spec, sent back to CNI and a new one returned in its place. I also have to add a ~1 Watt 445nm module and a PBS to mix the 473nm and 445nm. I've also decided to centre the output window and therefore the galvo block's position.

As a result of all this, all lasers need to move and I've got them and the base plate out of the housing and I am currently working out the best layout.

    I'll keep you posted...

I could do with another hour or so of alignment. 4 colours (especially with the PBS) are really tricky!

The addition of the 445nm to the 473nm really brings out a good range of colours

The 635nm is so much more visible than the 660nm in my new projector, but the purples are no where near as violet.

I can really appreciate the time and effort you not only put into the build, but sharing the progression with everyone here. I have learned a lot from it. Thank You!
