    LOL!!!

    a typical 650nm laser got a 5mm beam.

To not spill over the mirror at a 90deg scan angle you need a minimum mirror width of.... rofl.........

    13,4mm!

I seriously doubt if 14mm wide mirrors will fit these galvos.

You can see in the pictures gottaluvlaser posted some of the red is missing at one side of the fan.

So using 635nm or 650nm flashlight laser are a waste of money with these scanners.
lol, why is that? because at some extreme angles a color get cut off slightly? Reds get cut off on *all scanners* so, these are no different. yes, they get cut off more at extremes. But damn man, lol...you could find a negative in a pile of $1M dollar bills couldnt you?

these scanners are the best scan systems in *many* peoples opinions that have hit the scanner market. For the price of these, (what, $550-$600?? ) for a system like this with the angles available, and this good of a quality system, who in their right mind would say, "they arent worth it?"

I run cambridge scanners, i run DT systems and I have had Scan pro systems. Cambridge is 4 times the cost of these. are they 4X the quality? nope.

If we all really want to unbunch our panties, keep the scan angles at jeez, even 50-60% and the angles *still* are stupid huge!!!

Mccarot, i love ya man, i'll buy you a beer anytime but damn man, you could find a negative in a cure for cancer and world hunger! lol...

Hey sorry that I sound negative.

Those galvo look awesome, I only wanted to point out you better use 642nm red or 655nm red lasers with a tight beam with ANY wide angle, else you will loose allot of power. Its a nobrainer for most of us, but not everyone understands the bigger scanangle the smaller the beam you need.
