Very nice, thank you for this excellent offer, PM sent.

Have you ever tried to do a hologram of a scene with a magnifying glass in it, the magnifying glass focusing on a part of some object of interest?

Brilliant idea! I've seen a few of these types of holograms in museums, and they are absolutely fascinating.

I've just bought a collection of 'Light Fantastic' holograms from the 1980's. Amongst these is a very large glass plate hologram of a printed circuit board with a magnifying glass in front of it. It's not easy to photograph but i'll try to get a picture.

    Cheers

P.S., sorry John for treading on your thread.

Hey John, I seem to remember you having a thread about your HeNe not working. Were you able to get that problem fixed? Don't mean to change the subject much, just wondering, I lost track of the original thread.

Hi DZ - yes ! - Jem pointed me in in the direction of Rob and he waved his magic wand over my HeNe and it worked - I'm now back making my image plane holograms - did a great one today which I'm calling - 'Mummy - am I really a swan'

drlava - wow! yes! - I haven't a clue how to make them - I've seen the hologram of a microscope and if you bring your eye close to the eyepiece you can actually look through the eyepiece and see the specimen
Fantastic - not quite there yet!

Wish it was my idea, but I think I saw it somehere and noted how cool it was. Not sure you need a special setup, either, though it may work best with transmission mode. There are a lot of cool things that can be done with optics in these amazing prints.

    10 + shipping if I did it right it's $15.59 U.S. + shipping. Sound right?

I'll take both, the dried thistle head against a background of dots & large Norwegian Troll

How can I pay? Do you take PayPal?

By the way I have a 8 x 10 glass holigram of a telescope. When you look into the eyepiece you see planets and a comet on a star field. It's my favorite. I got it at a Flea Market for $2 the lady didn't know what it was. It was sitting out in the Florida sun baking. I knew what it was right away. I only hoped it wasn't damaged. My luck it wasn't. I've heard it is worth $400.

    That's it.
My telescope holigram is a little different though.
I think those are the best type of holigram.
