    Default Everything is backwards

Okay so I got my scanners configured, etc. but everything is backwards. Hello shows up as olleH. What do I have messed up? It's probably something easy but I'm missing it.

Flip it in software settings , or if using differential wiring to the galvos, flip the X+ and X- wires..

    Default Thanks!

Thanks Steve. I had a TV repair shop wire the scanners to the 25-pin IDLA connection. Did they mis-wire the X+ and X- because if so I will take it back because I spent a few bucks to have them wire that up for me.

On some galvo amps, there is a set of jumpers next to the signal input. You can reverse your scanning using those if you dont want to have to do it in software each time.

What scanners are you using? If you are getting olleH, you need to invert the X axis

If not and you don't want to have it rewired, there should be an option to invert X in your software, but again it's hard to say since we don't know what software or scanners you use.

I think this all depends on your perspective. If you were lasing on a scrim to be viewed from the front, then you are in fact wired 'the right way'.
In fact, that is exactly the way a TV man would probably assume was the right way, as it's how you view TV's too.

Most software of any worth should allow you to flip axis for exactly this reason.

    Default Scanners

The software is Pangolin LD2000 Intro and the scanners are ScanPRO30K's.

You could also add a DPDT toggle between the scanner amps and DAC, and be able to flip the X-axis as needed for rear or front projection, without having to make software changes.

I added that to my projector, and it's been VERY handy....
