Default A direct question on green modules

What manufacturer makes the highest powered green module that can be directly modulated by DrLavas flexmod that would produce acceptable modulation to laser light show guys?

EDIT- and just for grins...sub 500mw (Im looking for a module that has no electronics and can be run by a flexmod)

That's a broad question.. the max current from a flexmod is 6A, so I would think that the very highest green output that could be expected from one would be in the vicinity of 1.5-2W (5W pump diode).. Many manufacturers make those. In terms of linearity, Laser-wave claims to be the most linear of the Chinese brands. I don't know about American or European brands. Laser Quantum might make something pretty decent..

EDIT in response to the edit above: The only way I know of to get a newly manufactured DPSS module with no driver is to separate an existing system. You might be able to buy single modules from any of the usual suppliers, but I've never really heard of anyone trying to before.

check with DrL, but i seem to recall that it's possible to use multiple flexmods to boost the current.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Dont you need a tec with higher powers to keep the diode and crystal at temperature?

CNI got a line of OEM laser modules without TEC

I thin LaserShowParts.com is selling those bare CNI modules right now. But they still come with a driver, don't they?

Edit: See this thread for more info on the bare modules. It appears that the ones without drivers only come in 50 to 150 mw ranges. The more powerful ones have TEC's and full drivers.
