Default WTB - Laser Physics Reliant Case

    Hi all-
I recently became the proud owner of a laser physics Reliant 300wc laser, which is missing a few pieces, mainly the top of the case (as can be seen in the linked thread). Before I go and start fabricating a new one, I wanted to check if anyone has any dead or dying lasers that I might be able to steel some parts off of.

I wouldn't be looking to pay more than maybe $50 or so for it, maybe a little more if its exactly right, but I will consider any offers

Also, if by chance any of you guys has a small PCOAM/AOTF that might fit with this laser, I would love to get my hands on one!

    Thanks!

Check with PL Member 'VJ AIWAZ' (John) - a while-back, he had some projector cases (empty shell) that housed an 'LP' laser inside...you'd very likely have to do some 'mods'
(ie: I can pretty-much guarantee you, your 'back-plate' / control-panel will be too-wide for those 'Eclipse' housings - you'd have to likely cut / retro-fit one or the other...) but they were really nice + rugged, and would lend themselves-well to having a top-mounted fan, and room for a PCAO / galvos (most-likely...)

I can't vouch whether he still has them, or not, nor any comments on price - 'tween you and him, but he's a good kat and I'm sure will make you the best 'deal' he can...

Well, that, I can tell you, ain't gonna be '50 bucks' - we do also have quite a few Neos 5W PCAOMs and 4, 6 or 8-channel drivers, but I honestly can't see selling one for much-less than ~$1K or so...if I can find a 1W x-tal, maybe ~$750.-ish, but maybe someone out there has got one (*ahem*... WORKING... ) that they'd part with, for less... but if anyone does offer you one for $50. - - it's either fried or they're '$50. from being in the gutter'...

    Hope this helps...

I have a reliant case, measure the length of your baseplate.

I know that PCOAM's are quite pricey, but they also hold their value quite well so I am a little more able to justify spending a bit of money on it.

In any case, the baseplate measures 9.5" wide by 22" long. The tube is a pretty good 20" long, so if the case is much shorter than that I might have cut the tube in half and build 2 50mw lasers

Of course its polarized The case I have is half of a projector case which was designed to have an PCOAM and set of scanners to form a complete projector. Sadly, I only the the laser part.

You saw the numbers I posted above... PM-me if interested in either option, and I'll check around for the 1W x-tal (pretty-sure we have one, but must-verify...) - if this is out of your 'budget', just PM, all-the-same, and I'll pack them away when we move...

    peace..
