I'm going to order some round bar and some rectangular Aluminium when they get back on Tuesday. The prices do seem to be pretty decent, for small quantities anyway.

I know eBay fees are now horrific, but they're not nearly double!
Clickmetal are fairly decently priced; ordered from there a while back.

my metal place doesnt really do alum, just loads of steel.

so i have to turn to the web for alum

although they have just pulled 10x 500mm long by about 10 inches diameter pure alum ... rods if thats what you wana call them?

so i can now get alum apeture windows done at a decent price

That is odd. 6082 is a uniquely European grade. In the states it is 6061 t6.
But yea those prices are rally good. I wish I could get stuff cheap delivered pre-cut.

I thought I would compare prices with my usual supplier first though. Turns out my current supplier is far cheaper for the materials I wanted.
