Looks good, Jerry.
Can a laserbee 1 be converted with a different thermopile and/or a firmware flash?
Thanks mophead....
sorry no... The 3.2 Watt LaserBee II uses a newly designed PCB with component
changes as well as the Firmware update that needs these components.
The LaserBee I is not compatible since it is missing some essential electronic parts
to be able to measure up to 3200mW..
BTW... LaserBee II measures from 3mW to 3200mW... and it measures in 0.1mW
increments from 3mW to 999.9mW and in 1mW increments from 1000mW to 3.2W...

Nicewhat about the wonga (how much)?
Doc's website
The Health and Safety Act 1971
Recklessly interfering with Darwin’s natural selection process, thereby extending the life cycle of dim-witted ignorami; thus perpetuating and magnifying the danger to us all, by enabling them to breed and walk amongst us, our children and loved ones.
Price is on the website I think.
Mine should be here next week hopefullyI'll post full pics and a review as soon as I can... Got a load of lasers I've been waiting some time to measure!!
Thanks for stepping in norty303...
Yeah Doc the prices are on the website...
The link is in the 1st Post or in my Sig....
We've opened a Sales Thread on LPF for LPF Members with more than
20 posts..
I'll do the same thing here and offer a 10% discount/refund (to any PL
member that has more than 20 posts) on the New LaserBee II products
bought directly from our website... (this is to weed out members joining
just to get the discount and not contributing to the Forum).
Qualifying Members will need to include their PL User Name to get the
10% refund on the price of either the Standard LaserBee II (OEM) or
the Deluxe LaserBee II.
[EDIT]
If you have less than 20 posts you can qualify for the PL member's 10%
Discount if you have been on the Forum for at least 6 months but still
require at least 5 posts.

Very nice looking meter. I'm in market for one, was looking towards a original laserbee but was a bit concerned about measuring higher powers in the future. This will be perfect. Just need to get my post count upI've been here awhile, but have a tendency to lurk and read instead of actively posting.
Good point mOf...
I just saw that I will need to open the qualification criteria just as bit..

Well we finally opened an official USB 3.2 Watt LaserBee II sales thread on
the Forum.. We think the higher Power 3.2 Watt capabilities of our new LPM
better suits the needs of members on this forum than the 1 Watt LaserBee I.
You can ask any questions on the USB 3.2 Watt LaserBee II Sales Thread here....
