If you have an analog version, I'd be happy to review that. I have a battery of linearity and pulse tests that are always interesting and informative.

Yes, I, to some extent, agree with you. However, I don't think the requirement (ripple<20mv) is critical to driver. Any of DC power supply, even the ripple is over 100mv, can be used, but the lifetime of the laser will not be guarranted. I think the requirment of ripple<20mv is the factor to ensure the laser work under the ideal condition.

I'd like to have you review my lasers. The new structure laser(see pics) is coming next month, then I will contact you. Thank you in advance.

I will put a word in for Buffo, I believe that he only has the interest of the laser community on his mind. He has proven to me that he is a man of integrity, and if you differ in opinion get ready for a strongly worded post from Mr. Buffo. I will say that you better post lots of pictures!

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.

I second that! Buffo would do a detailed review on your laser.

In my opinion both can do the review as long as the laser is donated as a price for selem

    Cool

I don't care what happens to the laser after the review is completed. It can go back to the manufacturer or it can go to some other forum member, or even be used as a door prize. My only stipulation is that it should not go to whomever does the review.

Also, I should state that while I am certainly capable of performing an adequate review, I happen to know for a fact that Andrew (Dr Lava) has access to a fast photo diode power meter, which would allow him to easily record (and report) very detailed information regarding the modulation performance of the laser under various conditions.

Thus, I respectfully submit that he can probably perform a more thorough review than I can.

Thanks Adam, I don't want to take over this review, it's all yours. My offer was contingent on the review system being a different laser (perhaps in the future, as he said), one with analog modulation where the results will be more interesting with the photo-sensor setup. So, carry on!

Ahh... I missed the fact that it was a TTL-only laser. That's not going to be nearly as useful as one with analog modulation.
