    Because a 212 is bloody fast, it was designed for cavity tuning, and it does it very well, with just the right amount of damping and a overshoot so small you need to look for it with a mag glass as you tune. Of course you get overshoot if you dump 2 watts into it, cold, but it would be 100 mW or so and settle within about 300 mS. When one has the ability to design the sensor, one can set the thermal inertia.
