American Idol Lasershow

Not a fan of the show but my sister was watching it and I caught a glimpse of the laser show they had on during one of the performances.

Anyone else catch it? Looked like a couple of greenies and one RGB? Also, looked like there was a bit of audience scanning.

I caught it. Not ultra impressive for a show with the budget of American Idol, but better than nothing I guess.
The RGB projector looked like it was flickering pretty bad even on simple shapes.

I thought so too. I guess they felt the need to jump on the bandwagon.

I think it comes on Fox? I could tell you what channel it is here but, I don't think that would help you much.

Yeah, I saw it. Nothing real fancy just an RGB that looked low on red and 4 greens. Not bad but I've seen better from hobbyists.

The lasers were the idea of the guest singer for the week - Lambert, I don't think the Idol producers had much to do with them, which is probably one of the reasons they were used primarily for lighting only the stage. There was a ton of fog and the lasers appeared to be at safe levels. Without all that extra fog it certainly would have seemed very weak, but they pulled it off.

At least one camera must have been damaged by the laser during the intro part. You can clearly see the camera's image distorting when the laser hits it.
