    Default C64 bytemare Laserdreams rebuild

I will be receiving a old commodore 64, laser light show controller that was given to me by Laser Dreamz, thank you George for the donation. I am a huge commodore collector, I purchased an online lot that contained a Bytemare DAC, my research looking for information on it lead me to the forum post with the system here.

The goal will be to have the system fully restored and running. I just recently made contact with the systems original developer and coder. He even recognized who's system it was. The great news is he is willing to help with whatever I may need to get it running. The bummer is he doesn't have the old documentation handy.

The beginnings of where it is at can be scene in this link http://home.comcast.net/~polishedball/BYTE/

I'll be posting photos, details, progress and information as it is acquired in this thread.

    John

Also if this is the wrong forum for this please move it to the correct area, still new around here. Thanks to all that have been so friendly and informative to this laser newb.

printed listing and schematic of alternative C64 system, sent..

Gotta go play the Brandenberg Concerto Commodore theme from the 'miga commercials.

My first commercial laser show controller was a Pangolin Product, called LSD1000.

Thanks Steve, hopefully i'll be able to acquire the hardware you mentioned also, or just build it myself. Curious do you recall if it was cartridge based or user port based?

Well finally got the system running correct to the DAC and everything. Have the original cabinet out at the powder coaters right now, also ordered some replacement pots, and cap kit for original monitor. so for now it is just running on a stock c-64.

    Here are a couple shots.

So what is the max speed the commodore lasershow software/hardware
    can handle? I'm curious.
