Default Melles Griot LD controller pinout. 06 DLD 105

    Hey Guys,

Got this LD controller today and I'm wondering what the pinout is. The PSU has two round connectors on the back, one has 6 pins and is labelled "TEC Driver" the other is labelled "LASER/TEC driver" and has 8 pins. There are also two d-sub type connectors, one is 15 pin and is labelled "4-wire LASER/TEC driver" and the other which has 12 pins is labelled "IEEE - 488" (note this only has the shape of a D-sub connector, the contact style is more like one of the ends from a printer cable).

Three BNC connectors on the front are labelled "EXT IN", "MOD IN" and "OUTPUT", although I assume the output is for connecting an o-scope or something along those lines to monitor the two inputs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Failing any results here I think an e-mail to Melles would be in order?

    Regards,

    Adam

Jeeze, that sounds like a OEM driver we have on our bench, got pics?

The IEE-488 is the standard for for GP-IB or HP-IB (general purpose interface bus or hewlett-packard interface buss-they are both the same thing electrically) and is a way to control the supply remotely from a computer (assuming you know the command structure).

As to the pinouts of the laser/tec connectors I can't help much, but there is a similar sounding driver in the for sale/trade section right now that might share the same pinout, you might try contacting them.

If it's similar to mine,06-DLD-003,I have a copy of the manual if it's compatible.
Let me know if it will help.

not at home just now, will take more images if needed.

Mike, those manuals might be helpful. I'll pm you my email address later on.

    Cheers!
