I'd love to have that.. I just don't have a spare $1200. It's a great deal, but I'd imagine that same problem is what's holding others up as well..

DANG!!!!!! Is anyone optimistic about the future, i mean even in one or two years? What is it going to take to take for things to turn around for people? I do not think the answer is in red or blue, it has to be an alien invasion or something...PERPLEXED...

I should have most of my debt payed off in 10 years... Bike and truck in 3, projector loan from 401K in 4, student loans in 8... then the house... in 18 or so.

1 to 2 years is a bit too soon for me to be optimistic... AND the boss wants me to pait the house next week.

Yeah.. if you've got real debt and mouths to feed laser money is hard to come by regardless of the state of the economy. I could go and pull from my investments and buy some seriously awesome gear (lord knows I could use a couple multi-watt certified RGB projectors), but after the last few years that would be unsound to put it mildly. All the time I see deals here and elsewhere that I'd LOVE to take.. but I don't because I just ain't got it like that.

Reminds me of a system I saw Rupert Morse using at the second Tribal gathering. It had a Chroma 10 firing onto a CT6800 which fed 6 fibre launches. Each fibre fed into a modified Clay Paky pin scan (moving head) fitted with an additional set of scanners.

    The result was quite epic.

are you sure he was pumping fiber launchers with the output off of scanners? Because the slightest bit of drift or ANY offset (in either axis) will miss the fiber face completely (or with that power level, burn the tip), you would also have to align the launchers at an arc so the beam through focus lens would be perpendicular to fiber face..not an easy task...

Yes, totally sure. But just one scaner was being used to direct the beam into the fibre launches.
IIRC the system was developed by Omicron Lasers.
