Contact Nichia and ask for one of their pretty blue diodes. It will cost you approx $5000.

For that kind of money I would say forget it. You can always scan through Ebay for some cheap air cooled ones. I see them at roughly $500-800 all the time.

Yeah ... I agree been there done that.

Altho it was cool to have a dpss blue for a while.
It just didnt have much power or was very stable
until the prices drop by 50 to 80percent
I dont see these going far .
They truly are portable but dont last.

Still and all , when peeps see ya hookin up a Big Argon
they dont laugh at it...when they see it powered up.

I love my Argon .. too bad it makes so much noise

Ok Arc, since you're scanning ebay keep an eye out for me! I'm looking for
a nice wee argon for $5-800

I definitely think the heyday of argon is over... I've been scanning for months,
and everybody is spending lots of money on what are obviously dead tubes.
Spec showed me one where the guy was selling as "condition unknown"
a tube which was completely up to air, you could tell because you could
stare straight down the open bore!

I cant believe someone bought it...

Thats the laser Yadda mentioned above, pay close attention to the 2nd picture, notice something missing? Like the HR Mirror maybe?

These tubes used hard seal mirrors, The mirrors are not removable less you dont mind the tube going to atmosphere and subsequently never working again, assuming this one ever worked.

Just amazing that someone sold this, much less someone buying it.

    Jeeez,,..another one gets sucked in..

    I did too one time...remember
The same thing...no front end and up to air...

There should be a law against them trying to sell those
    that are obviously damaged..

Well.....At least I got my money back..

There is a guy that goes by the name Junktronix that has tons of argons. I'm sure he'll trade up a ghettolaze system for a few argons Ken. His name is Kevin I'll have to call him.

Heh... I've seen his auctions... they seem to vary widely between insane deals
and "oh my gosh that's expensive"

I'm still thinking about that 3V 40A flatpack he's currently listing...
I have dreams about building a laser ginsu knife that slices and dices...
that'd be the first step towards that... but it also sounds like a lot of work
    that'd distract me... sigh....
