    Default Proper Cleaning

A friend of mine manages a bar that recently had a fire. He had a laser projector in there which he gave to me. The laser works but it has a layer of gunk on it from the smoke. Overall, it's in fine working order except the beams are blurry and smells like a campfire. What is the best way to attempt to get this thing in good working order again? I don't want to clean the dichros and such with the wrong formula. I'm assuming the gunk from the smoke is going to wreak havoc on the galvos, no? Any suggestions on how to clean those?

Your best bet for cleaning all of the optics within your laser is First Contact fluid from Stanwax Laser.

The Stanwax Laser store is also a very useful site to know about for laser and optic parts.
