    Hey Lazerman121, PL has an IRC thing up at the top that you can log into for live chat. I pop in there from time to time and there are several other regulars. Some of the folks in there will be attending SELEM.

    When the event kicks off, it's very informal, so hanging out and meeting folks is usually easy to accomplish!!

    Things get a bit crazy during the setup Friday and Saturday morning, but once the technical & logistics issues get worked out, everyone tends to be pretty laid back & easy going...

    I plan on taking Thursday off so I can leave extra early on Friday to avoid some of the fiasco...

But that turned out to be prohibitively expensive ($3000!) so I kept looking... Fortunately, I found the auditorium in Newton shortly thereafter, and after a quick road trip up there to check the place out, I decided that this was the perfect place to hold SELEM. And the rest is history...

    first *LEM I went to was march 2008 in that CWA hall... ahh memories... all that money that I will never see again... well, I guess I will *SEE* it, but, well, you know lol

    Anyone Driving down from the NorthEast that isn't taking a whole bunch of stuff with them? I'd like to carpool and make the fuel cost a bit more bearable. I probably won't be able to make it otherwise.
