Maybe everybody who already has a working setup could post some details regarding used lenses, beam dimensions at aperture and divergence in both directions.
That way we can look for the optimal setup together ...

Upon seeing this graphic:

I thought that these diodes may be ran hot in purpose ... tuning towards 455nm, even when thermal response is low
