    for the amount of money that has been spent on this project since inception, we could have had a nuke power plant in each state selling power to the planet and have already placed a lasso around the sun. I guess it is cool tho

    The powers that be call this a fusion laser. In reality its primary funding mechanism, at least for now, is for testing booster materials for hydrogen bombs.

    no wonder they haven't achieved fusion yet, the guy at 0:50 is measuring that big prism with a tape measure!
