OK, what I could do is create a new thread for the UKLEM10 and then add a Paypal payment button for the amount.

I am thinking of £30.00 from everyone reguardless of time spent at the event. An all out flat rate of £30.00? Any funding over the £250.00 needed, goes to Spec or Raffle prizes?

    What do we reckon people?

I have to say on this matter that my front projector window was the cleanest it's ever been after an LEM - Very odd!

that gives me four an a bit months to get a drivers license. Challenge accepted!

Won't put money in until nearer the time as I'm not *sure* that I'll be there. But I'll try my best!

    Cheers,

I came with my friend Sam and we both had a really good afternoon and evening. I learnt a lot and everyone was very welcoming and happy to answer my newbie questions!

Special thanks to Rob, Kev and Dan for letting me have a an extended play with their kit. It was a real treat to be able to control such an array of amazing lasers and it is safe to say I am properly hooked.

The copper bromide laser was truly spectacular. Looked amazing reflecting off the raindrops.

Pleased to pay my £30 in advance for next year.

I wrote the winners names down on a box top and left it on the raffle table. I think Andy filmed it all so he should have the details

When it appeared that we would be short of funds for the upfront payment of the next meet I offered to throw a hundred quid into the pot. At that time I suggested that we would require perhaps three people to make a similar committment. However, it seems that may not now be necessary as other are coming forward and i think a £30 flat may be the way to go. I can't help but feel that this may be a bit excessive for those only able to attend for the one day though... we'll see.

How about using the 'profits' from the next meet to pay for the meet after that one? this way the LEM's would be self funding and no-one would have to pay in advance. If the LEM's ever come to an end the excess could be payed to a worthy cause, perhaps PL, perhaps a charity.

    Just a suggestion...

Oh, and Jim, I think the reason your projector didn't get a 'cloudy' lens was due to the altitude it was at

    Cheers

P.S. Booked the 'Ship' earlier today for the April meet

I keep saying I'd like to get one in Sheffield as being on the junction of both the M1 and A1 its ideal for North and South alike. I'm also sure there must be lots of venues being the 4th largest UK city.

Perhaps mid July as the target?

I'll see if I can make some enquiries in the Sheffield area.

Yeah, It did cross my mind that the £30.00 may put day persons off a bit so how about £15.00 for 1 day only and £30 for the rest?
I just want to do what you guy's want.

I have got to admit I do find the whole weekend very stressful, never really been and organiser as such, only maybe to myself, I suffer with stress problems anyway, misplaced Curry's and exploding pipes really don't add to the getting better curve but I suppose it's all a larf innit
I am paranoid about getting something wrong, something going wrong or someone getting hurt.

I kind of like Jem's idea of a reoccurring payment. This will make sure the hall is booked and paid for every time in advance, so no worries there.

When I get time I will set up a Paypal payment button and start the thread but please bear with me - life is hectic

PS - I remember now the box lid Jem, it's in one of my plastic boxes, I remember packing it. I will fish it out later.
