I must say, I bought 4 of these many years ago, and I still find them really useful as the final steering mirror onto the galvos. Flex mounts simply don't have the required flex for the downward angle sometimes, but these are compact and can tip as far as needed.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

I just need a few for PBS cubes and a few steering mirrors for some 638 builds I want to make.

ya it's really a shame that now with all these new diodes these things are no longer available... I really love my 2x dual diode combiner kits I got years ago

still have not been able to find a nice reasonably priced diode combining kit like laserman532 used to make...

Yea. Its a shame. I just ordered a small CNC mill. I am just going to make the parts I want. What did the laserman kit look like? I guess I could just use the search and look tomorrow when I am at my computer.

yeah, sorry guys...ya know you start off with excitement and good intentions, think you design something that has a need ya sell a few, go in to production, interest wanes, wife questions your sanity...doing it all because you like doing it. Most of the things I just prototyped and then had others with CNC's bang them out for me, which means I had to order enough to justify the price, then I sit on cash out of pocket and no cash coming in...ya get old, ya get tired...and you just don't care anymore. A few of you know my situation, most of you don't...treading water makes your arms tired and with sharks circling sometimes you just want to quit. I have always been honest with everyone. Chad made the micro mounts for me and is a great resource, i assembled them using custom springs and screws and when including labor...i lost on every one of them. the ultra mount I lost a small fortune on, in my mind...I made the perfect mount...but if it dosnt sell what good is it. Anyway, not a big sob story...just the truth...I am going to go through my cabinets and have one last hurrah sale...but judging from experience....for this industry it will be a waste of time. I had to sell my mill and tooling last year to pay taxes and recently bought a grizzly mid size mill just to tinker on projects around the house. This industry was good to me back in the day...i did this stuff for a living and a good one at that. Regrets??? I've had a few....but I did it myyyyyyyy wayyyyyy (elvis). Im not dead yet...but I'm still quasi interested in what you guys are doing...most of it is beyond me. anywhoooo....

It sucks to hear this.. yeah a lot seem to cut corners.. they want something to work but with the least pricing possible and I'm sorry to hear its affecting you.
I heard in the past quite a few knowledged suppliers or people left or lost contact with the community because of this.
I hope you still remain to share and spread the knowledge for future generations may you ever go this path and I hope you get to sell the mounts.

that's the thing, his mounts were quite reasonable... and much better than anything else...

I know it's terrible but if you have no interest in making them have you considered sending them out to china?

I can totally relate to what your saying. You aim for a good quallity and don,t want to sacrifice that. Getting things manufactured locally cost allot and it needs to be done in big quantity to justify the price. You putt allot of time in it and that doesn,t get payed but your like what your doing, Eventually you think why keep doing it since a payed job gives more free time and you have enough money to go by.

The hobbymarket where you where selling too is buying now complete Projectors from companies like Eightonlight or goldenstar. If you get things manufactured by a local metalshop it comes with a certain price and comes with good quallity but people here will not pay for it anymore. Why build a 3 watt RGB heatsink based projector if you can buy it from china for 1350usd from Eightonlight. And for the few that out there that building something to be proud of they will go for the cheapest route rather then spending a bit more to support you and keep you in bussiness. Its like a local bakkery, if everyone goes to the nextdoor supermarket that can do things cheaper because they do a bread for half price the bakkery will close their doors in less then a year.

Below a link of a movie that explains how everything is connected together. A part of it explains what happens when people start buying online instead of going to their local hardware store or electronicshop. It also shows what happens when wages going down, living expences increase and the rich people grab what they can.....

    http://inequalityforall.com/

    Damn good movie......

If People would build there own systems they get a better quallity and support people like stanwax, me, Andy-con and you to stay in bussiness. If people build a projector with good parts they still save half the money on what you pay from guys like RGBlasersystems and can have the same or even better beamquallity.

Unfortunally the market traded in the quallity for very low price. With a bit of research i bet you can buy a 3 watt for less then 500usd.....

I really admire that you sticked to your game by getting things manufactured locally instead of going to china that say allot about someone......
