I didn't field test a single one. But, if I did, the first thing I would do would be to screw in those too long screws all the way...

...and that's the benefit of commenting on a product in a 'review-thread' *after* you've actually field-tested it, because a) hopefuly, you would quickly realize you would never need to screw them in all the way - that's what the slotted-base is-for... and this ain't 'Mythbusters' so, no need to blow them-up / use how not-intended, to prove some 'point' - and b) you'd come to appreciate that the selection of those 'too-long' screws - with cap-heads, vs pan, etc - was purposeful, so you can very-nicely 'fingertweek' vs *having* to break-out the allen-set, as-with other-designs...

...but, in this case, I don't think it was my fault, and I certainly don't think I deserved the response from the seller that I received.

Mmmyeah, but if, instead of posting a negative-review based on looking a photo, you asked more ??s or, heck - asked for a sample, to try-out, etc, I'm fairly certain the 'response from the seller' would have been different... I certainly wouldn't be shocked to see you 'react' in a similar manner if I started posting in yer threads about Spaghetti, saying it's 'lame' or 'pricey for what you get' - never-having used it, eh?

Well, I was commenting on the prototype that was shown in the review. If what is being sold is the black anodized one piece mount then I think that the advertised price is fair. They may functionally same, but the extra attention to detail is worth that extra bit of money that I don't think the pictured prototype deserves.

My aplogogies for the misunderstanding, but, in this case, I don't think it was my fault, and I certainly don't think I deserved the response from the seller that I received.

To further reiterate how you engaged your mouth before thinking ... you completely missed post #20 in this very thread that has this picture in it.

you need to get off the forum talking shit and take some time to clean up your projector that is some pretty shoddy work there...

Yep, I just realized the inital post was made several months ago and didn't notice the picture of them all anodized. I definitely put my foot in my mouth. So, I apologize.

BTW, is there any company that makes SQUARE dichros for mounting to these and to Dave's flexure mounts?

Not that the regular round dichro's don't work, but they don't look as pretty and you're basically wasting space on a piece of mirror that's not doing anything.

the onestoplasershop.com (also re-sold by CTLASERS.com) are rectangles 1"x.5". they will custom cut them if you need square.
