    This is great! I bet these are the ebay diodes. I have one of the ebay ones and I i will look at it and compare to the extracted ones in the pictures.

    I don't see any glue on this diode. Maybe it is a different one. We will see. If we just can tame the beam a little we will be in business.

    Yep, mine is too. And the length of the pins looks the same.

    Apparently there is a 2500 lumen version as well. It is about $100 more.

    Anyone with one of the eBay diodes Know what the threshold current is? According to laser freak it is about 80ma.

    Seems to be somewhere between 175mA - 210mA
