This is great! I bet these are the ebay diodes. I have one of the ebay ones and I i will look at it and compare to the extracted ones in the pictures.
I don't see any glue on this diode. Maybe it is a different one. We will see. If we just can tame the beam a little we will be in business.

Yep, mine is too. And the length of the pins looks the same.decixIf one pin is cut off on the ebay-diodes (the unused chassis pin) then they are exactly the same as these diodes from the casio projector.

Those pins were already cut off in the factory, you can see why that was done if you have a close look here.

Anyone with one of the eBay diodes Know what the threshold current is? According to laser freak it is about 80ma.

according to the personalized datasheet, mine has a threshold of 207mA
