So I wonder if the ebay diodes are the from the 2500 lumin version and the laser freak ones are a lower power.

I am going to go buy a projector tonight.

I'm in for 4-5 if we do a group buy.
This sounds great.
although what is needed exactly to make this a proper module.
i guess its not like the 405nm just extract the diode and put it in a Aixiz housing? or?
will be very interesting to see a proper working after the group buy.
Does anyone have any idea as to the exact differences between the 2000 and the 2500 lumen model?
Could the 500 lumen increase be from the LED source as opposed to the laser diodes? Or more/high power laser diodes perhaps?

I just put mine under the scope. And you can see remnants of the glue.
Now the big question is what is the diff between the 2000 and 2500 versions.

Dave mentioned that the data we are seeing on these 445's relates pretty closely to the Nichia NDB7352 1w 445nm diode specs, maybe these things contain that die in a 5.6mm can and they just turn up the juice in the higher power projector..
Well, I'll be watching with interest what people do with these. I tend to remain blissfully ignorant of what goes on in all those 'building a module' threads, and now I think I've got some catching up to do!
