Sure. It is rough, but it is only a test platform. The final labbie will be nicer and may include PBS.

Oh, I changed the driver to 1000mA tonight. It's hard to notice any change!
The fan is 60mm Sunon. The device glued to the heat sink behind the LD block is Nat Semi temp sensor, direct reading in 10mv/degree kelvin.

This space for rent.
Hi there, I never posted about the 445nm diode's, well I build my 3rd one with a TEC, after I finished I played with some different color filters from LEE. I read somewhere (properly this forum) that this diode outputs at low power other wavelengts, well it seems it does too at high power (600mA), although I cant say if this is right ~.
here's a picture where I hold a LEE filter in front of the diode (color code 138 springyellow)

This photo is taken by a iphone4.
No that's not right, this is probably fluorescence of the colored glass ;-)
Probably fluorescence, you'll see a orange-ish glow in a 532nm laser the same way.
People using proper eye protection, know this
Ah, ofcourse. I never though about it.
Hi guys!
Today I got a data sheet for 5,6mm 445nm diodes. Some values look overrated, like the output power at 1,2A. I also did not find this diode model NDB7412 on NIC*** website. I compared the date at the right corner of the the data sheet of the official 1W 9mm and the 5,6mm diode. The 5,6mm version was released 1 month after the 9mm version. So this may be an indication for the authenticity.
What do you think about it?
Alex
The info seems consistant with measured values, keep in mind that is an engineering data sheet and is not for any specific production diode, and that the diodes that make it into casio projectors do not appear to be required to meet any spec (as evidenced by the dead diodes that show up from time to time).
max out put power of 1.5watts??
Eat Sleep Lase Repeat
Blimey 1.5 W on a 5.6mm closed can seams incredible, i guess this is what gets used in the newer M series
