Default pre-orders/interest for high quality module kits

With the abundance of diodes floating around here, just waiting to find good homes, it's about time to start up a module kit preorder thread for a nice solution to getting them into your projectors and functioning optimally.
As you guys know, I've been working with divergent diodes since they cost $475 on ebay, buying optics and looking for an optical solution to get good beam properties. After going through and testing about a dozen lens combinations and contacting many manufacturers, I believe the problem is solved.

The module is 1-1/2" x 4-1/2" (40x117mm) at the base, 1-5/16" (33mm) tall with a beam height of just under 1" (23mm). The optics in the module will be able to produce a beam approximately 3.5x3.5mm with 0.5x0.75mrad divergence, with broadband coated BK-7 AR optics. Another great thing about this setup is that it will probably be able to be used for divergent red diodes as well. Each module will house 1 OR 2 diodes, analog linear modulation driver (the new FlexMod P3 when it arrives),lasorb, and a TEC (optional, with external controller).

The issue is, it costs money to get all the parts purchased in a quantity sufficient for a good rate, so it's time to pool our resources via pre-orders to make this happen. The price will be as low as possible.. the more orders the lower it can be. MisterWilling has agreed to do the machining and chad will be a mech consultant as well.

The final module will have a black powder-coated shell and anodized base, as well as machine cut ports (these ports I cut by hand).

I might be interested in 3 of these modules..
But what price range are we talking about? is around $100 reasonable for such a module w/o diode?

I would be intereted in 1, or even 2 if the price is right.

    Thanks.

Definitely interested. I would also be willing to pay more for GOOD beam properties (diameter, divergence).

    Great news.

Although a few questions i think can be interesting.

    # What output power will they be set to?
    # Will they be able to be combined with more?

I will be interested in 4 of these if price is right.

    Hi Dr Lava
This looks like great project for the community , really appreiated you should attempt to make this process easier , and im sure your product will be of oustanding quality.

    Kit looks really excellant quality

At this point 19th july , after waiting 6 weeks I gave up and ordered 4 dual kits from another source which were more expensive but i will be in market for more
..when the time comes I shall assess best value option v quality for me
