    Just search ebay for anti static mat. They have kits of all sizes and they are cheap.

    If you're feeling spendy you could order one from RS or Farnell. They are much better than Maplin.

    Or go to your local independent PC bits shop. Most towns have one or two (the one in Bristol, for example, is down near the Hein-Gericke store just before you come down the A38 towards Broadmead...)

    It's ok, I've had to order some bits today so I ordered a wrist strap. But in the meantime I've got a croc clip lead attached to my bench vice and to a spare earth pin on a 13A plug, so I at least have something right in my work area that is grounded.
