    Resurrecting this thread...

So given what we know now about the ML520G72, do people believe this makes the HL6388MG the top red diode at present (for best achieveable beam specs and power when combined)?

McCarrot said 90 euro, which isn't the same as 90 dollars ;-)
Currently the boards here at work say: EUR/USD 1.2682

I could get a group buy happening for ~75 Euros, which is getting closer to 90USD, provided there is interest for 100pcs

I have also been working on this

dave nice little setup there, what diodes do you propose to use the 638 500mw or the 640 150mw?

what do you estimate the final output beam to be?

This will be a bit of a joint project between Simon and myself..

    Hopefully ~4mm x 4mm, and 642nm reds, or LOC's

    lol thanks for that mark.

isnt that a bit of a funny design for cubing 3 beams into 3 beams.

using decent lens you will get a beam of like 1mm by 1.5mm, so if you had 3 in a line you would get 3mm by 1.5mm.

so if you cubed another 3 beams in wouldnt get get a kind of cross shaped beam?

im no expert just making a few observations

Stacked 3 x 2, no cube - so you can combine 2 modules with a cube
