    Question blue lasorb

    Hi, was wondering if anyone can help me out. I ordered 2 lasorbs, one for red and one for blue but don't know what one is for what color. one has l4447-121833 on it and the other has l4447-121228 on it. So what one is for blue and what one is for red? . Also including a picture of the stuff i got to start putting these together. just need a driver for them now i guess. Have never really put anything like this together before. Any tips I should know about?

    Apparently you are about to put together one of those very powerful blue laser diodes. Well you have come to the right place. First thing to do is to realize that about 95% of the questions you are about to ask have been answered before here so READ a lot while you are waiting for those laser protection goggles to arrive ;-) EDUCATE yourself on the topic and many of the members here are here to guide you.

    - L44-47-121-288 Optimized for Red and IR laser diodes
    - L44-47-121-833 Optimized for Blue and Blu-Ray laser diodes


    Here is the pinout for LASORB:

    It is important to keep the distance between the laser diode and LASORB as short as possible, certain not more than 1-2 cm.

    Ok, now that I know what one is for what diode does it matter what way i connect it? is one of the post positive and one negative?

    1-LDC= Negative

    2-LDA= Positive

    Small thread Hijack :-)

    Now that looks like BOLT heatsinks ? they are 13mm hole ? the diodes are 5.6mm , can you get a reducer or something ( i am asking as i was considering those heatsinks too )

    Yea I ordered them from beam of light technologies. www.z-bolt.com. not sure what size the holes are. I dont have anything to measure them but took some pics of them with a aixiz module. I didn't feel like going downstairs to get some allen wrenches but stuck it in backwards and it fit pretty snug.

    Ahh OK your using them with red diodes ? , i thought they wrefor the blue which are only 5.6 apprently , was wondering how you would reduce

    12mm Aixiz modules are used to house 5.6mm diodes.
