I'm not so sure I'd want to be stood in the room with them hooked up to DMX. I've never been that comfortable with DMX as a pointing/targetting system for lasers anyway. Not nearly accurate enough and the potential for them to go a little 'wild' on occasion.
So what's that last video all about then? *Norty, are you nuts, you don't use these in a room
* Disclaimer - this is not me getting down on Andy BTW, I just don't think DMX is right for laser control of any moderate power for various reasons.

The DMX has been very carefully constructed with some fail safes. I dont like DMX either but the design we did here is quite safe with additional position feedback from the pan tilts so if it moves out of a set range they will be off. Is two independent DMX receivers inside each unit especially to be sure. One controlling and the other checking.
I don't doubt it, I'm just saying I'd have been feeling a bit uncomfortable stood there! Its system Testing by highly experienced technical guys.
