    I used a Laserwave 473nm coated PBS in my projector... I am not certifying that this is the way forward, maybe I copped a lucky one, who knows?

    Here is the 445nm on a meter weighing in at 480mw....

    Through the cube I measured a total of 760mw, so only loosing 20mw

    Running the 445nm through the cube on its own I see zero losses, so the 20mw lost was in fact 473nm..

    And for those of you wondering, Yes, it hurts like hell to think I spent in excess of £2000 on 500mw of 445nm only a year ago

    And technology marches on.... and on and on and on..

    Good rule of thumb: NEVER be in a rush to try the latest greatest stuff unless you're 100% ok with overspending. Of course the price drop we saw with these diodes is atypical, but all technology becomes steadily more affordable with time.

    Very true, but believe me this one has certainly earned its keep, several times over
