I'm bring 8 decent size bounce mirrors. More is always better, but if you have to little time to bring yours....there will be a few.

Damn, that sucks dude. OK, things you can strike from the to-go list for sure:

    Skeeta scrim and stand
    Mixer
    Lumia projector
    Fazer
    Nebulaser

We should have those things covered. I know someone else was bringing another mixer, and I have a small bliss-light clone that I'll be bringing, so we're cool on that. I'll also be bringing my skeeta scrim and stand. We can live without the Lumia rig (can always put a wheel in front of someone's projector if we need one), and I'm sure we'll have enough fog.

Now: about your projector... Are you sure you can't bring it? I thought you had it all put back together already? Or did something break? I had plans for that thing, dude! Seriously, if there was one thing I wanted you to bring (besides yourself) it was your projector... (If it's broken, maybe we can fix it at the event... Stranger things have happened!)

Also, re: the bounce mirrors and stands. If it's not too much trouble, I'd like to have those present. Not exactly sure how it's going to work, but I'm thinking about setting them up in the balcony and aiming Flecom's mobolaser rigs at them. With 20 turrets on each one to play with, that's a lot of targets!

If you arrive Friday afternoon, we'll help you unload your gear before you go to the Trotthouse. If you get there right at 5 PM, we can still unload your stuff, but we'll have to set it up Saturday morning. (That's OK though, I can probably get us in early for some fast setup and tweaking...)

Give me a call sometime this week and we'll chat...

    Hey Adam!

Not likely on the projector -
loosing this next 2 weeks pretty much killed my prep time.

I'm having to completely redo the optics path, since the DT40 mounting block is a good 1/2" shorter than the ScanPro block I had in there - and the galvos aren't interchangeable in the blocks.
This means I had to come up with a new mounting arrangement for everything, including the dichros - which has been a real PITA!!

I finally scrounged up the parts I need, but with this trip I have to leave on in the morning, there's really no time to finish what I need to do -
and I think it's going to be a tad busy at SELEM to actually try to find a "safe" place to finish drilling and mounting optical components...

And, there's still some internal alignment issues with my red to contend with, which I found out is probably going to be VERY noticeable inside an auditorium-sized venue!!

    On a COOL note -
I got the 3 DMX-controlled servo beam routing channels working pretty good, so I can start working in some scan-thru lumia and Poly-20 grating effects into some of the show and LivePro cues -
once I get the projector back together!!!

E-mail or PM is probably the best bet for commo over the next couple of weeks, given I'll be several time zones removed in the land of the grizzlies!

Randy....let me know if there is a chance of me machining a .500" lift block for your scanners....and or a few pieces of shim stock. I would be glad to help out there as I will not be bringing much. Let me know and I can get started and gather taps, drill motor, and related items for the job.

    Thanks for the offer, Mike!

I think I've cobbled together what I need to get the correct mounting heights for everything, but I still need to re-drill, tap, mount, and re-align two of the lasers and both dichros - not something I want to rush to try to get done in a crowded SELEM venue!

I'll chew on the idea while I'm bouncing around around the Northwest, but for now, I'm leaning towards "quitting while I'm behind", at least as far as trying to get "Project Stuka" to SELEM...

It would be nice for everyone to update all the programs they plan to use so everyone who wants to have programs play with other peoples programs, there are no incompatability issues.

I went out and got a 40GB SSD and did a fresh install of XP, Winamp, and Pango then updated everything. Anyone else planning on a format; now is the time to do it.

Randy, bounce mirrors and stands are the only items I wanted you to bring.

Ok just to throw this out there..
Jeff gave me an idea, Im going to bring some Get a Grip clamps to use to hang stuff from the batens on the stage if anyone wants to. They are rated for 300lbs. each. And Ive hung $100,000 moving head lights form just one
Also, just incase we need fog somewere(ie the cafe place) I now own a Antari mobile fogger, its good for 15+ mins of fog per batt. @ 300cfm. Just another tool for the toolbox

I was thinking of hanging the Kvant this year; I doubt it will be the projector this year.
