    Depends on the blanking input.

If its TTL blanking then the beam is either on or off, so no dice making the 16.7 some odd other colors.

If its analog, and depending on the speed of modulation you could probably get it set up well enough for a full color display system for *less than amazingly complex* imagery. Beam effects for example are a good example of what can be done with analog.

Though I know some diehards who sware PCAOM's are are the only good way to to play the color mixing game. Given the modulation speed(Mhz) of a PCAOM/AOM, I can see their point.

One thing to note is that unless all the beams have the same polarization,
PCAOMs won't work trivially. You'd have to throw in a bunch of 1/2 plates
    and other creepy optics.

I definitely would get this unit with analog modulation... Especially since
even the best PCAOMs waste 10% of the power in the first order beams...

How fast would the Analog modulation have to be to have good color mixing ability?.

    2Khz would be just fine...

Wow, so 10Khz would be more then enough...

The only difference between the units is the 635 emitter.

That doesnt make any sense as 635 would be a diode emitter and subject to far smaller divergence than 671nM as a DPSS fiber launched rail.

Maybe the specs are reversed not to mention relative brightness issues...
Any high power 635nm, such as the above will be from a multimode laser diode, and so will suffer horrable divergence and beam size/shape/divergence...

We can supply high power 650nm with very good beam properties with powers up to 2.5w if anyone is interested.. Email me, ill get back to you with some prices..
