We have now 208 diodes to order will be updating the list later, the GB is not more than I expected as I know we will order even more once a few get the hands on the diodes.

I will be asking for an update price tomorrow based on us reaching 200+ diodes.

To source the diodes from another route likely the cost will be higher as we are talking here of very spacial rates from not only a simple rep but a long term friend.

Let me explain this situation again for those who are relatively new on this GB:
We created this list to document who would be interested in the diodes once we have established the correct lens setup. I have done some initial tests with some bog standard lenses and have very good results.

I waited ages to get a set of good quality lenses to finalize the test so we can have two lens options for two styles of combining and it is this final step that is taking time as one of the lenses is tiny and I am struggling with time to create a little mount for it..

We can go ahead and buy the lenses, you can all pay your money but then you will be going crazy asking me ANDY what lens combination do we need. So being fair to you guys I say wait until we have this info correct so we can do also a GB that we can add the two lens options for the diodes, then you don't waist money or start going crazy once you receive the diodes.

Waiting for 200+ to save you guys money, no other reason. So if you want them faster we can order a batch at a lower quantity but of course the price will be higher.

If we are patient and establish the right lens set, everyone will be happy and we will order 200+ diodes at a very good price.

Simply my time is spent on large projects and as I don't add to the price of these diodes it becomes more of a favor I am doing you all.

By the way, am not even in my city for the past 10, now I am in a hotel and will travel tomorrow to be there fr one day then leave again for a few days.

Anyone out there wants fabricate a small mount for the lens, it will help a lot. I can also post a sketch for it.

It will need to be almost the same as say a typical axiz style lens holder body but with the ability to place a tiny lens at one end of the mount that is overall ~3mm OD

Yes this is true...at least of me. Why else would we be involved in this hobby ? Lasers have won out a lot of other things in life...some not to be spoken of.........all the late nights and endless searches for "that" lens combination source......

I'm sure a lens kit will add to the beam quality. In the meantime, a sloppy Aixiz lens with a DIODE would start the data flow for this diode's curves.
Does it have a knee, does it fold back ??? We don't need a great lens assembly to start the science.

I have checked with Mitsu for a new price and annoying there is no major gain for 100 to 200 units so the price will be the same. It solves one issue tho that if people drop out of the GB then likely we will still be over 100 units.

There is a small margin that will cover the shipping based on flat rate packet service with tracking so we will make the price as above and include the shipping to make life easier for everyone. If anyone wants to have a special service like DHL,UPS,TNT,Fedex I wil get a cost. I have also updated the first page to reflect this.

There are some skeptics here on the ability of the diode based on it being 40um stripe but 40um is not a problem, I find it to be ok and will prove this to be a very good diode.

If any of you want to go ahead now and get the order done so you can play with the diode sooner, we can do this for 100 diodes without loosing the price break or you can all wait till I get the evidence together to show you how to correct the beam.

So if any of you want to move faster, just drop me a PM and I will send you a paypal address to send the payment.
