You've seen a color pro already... Last year at SELEM 2009, Johnathan (Pianoman) had a Lexel color pro in the hallway. It was the only whitelight ion laser we had there that year.

Basically, it's a Lexel 95 with a Kr/Ar fill. Figure 2 watts of white nominal, more if you have a really nice tube.

208V 3 phase at 45 amps per leg and 4 GPM water for cooling.

If you want mondo-white, you're either going to spend a fortune to do it in sold state, or you're looking at an ion pair. A krypton for red and an argon for green and blue. Doing a mixed-gas fill cuts your power a lot, because of the gain competition in the tube. (Thus a Lexel 95 with a pure argon fill will do 4 to 5 watts, but a mixed-gas color pro, which is the same size tube, will only do around 2 watts.)

Dunno if this is in you price range or not but I have a perfect condition Uniphase 2214-40MLA air cooled argon made in 1998 that does >135mW multiline last time I checked. It cost a lot to get though so I'd want to get $350 for it

    Also for other random stuffs:

Busted SP-127 35mW HeNe (glass tube broke at the connection to the cathode) $150 PSU brick and mirrors are still good

NOS vintage RCA oscilloscope CRT - $10

60W ~830nm water cooled Coherent diode brick (lensed) - $150 (it was sold to me as 808nm but others say it's in the 830 range)

    CREST CP-6524 B/W security camera w/big zoom lens - $15

if anyone is interested I can certainly post pics

Heh, it's the cylinder style - I have two myself which is why I am putting the one up for sale. It would come with the PSU (208/240v though)
