It´s the G1. It has a safety pin that must be inserted for it to run.
The pin is located in the back, on the screwing cap.
There is also a bar that can be removed (2 screws) to disable the G1.
I just used two alligator clips... one inside, clipping the spring (-) and the other on the case (+).

Battery included is 1300mAh, only lasts 30 minutes full on. (Got an extra one)

The G1 is quite powerful.. everyone who saw it running just goes WOW!! They can´t believe it is so bright being a hand held unit. I have already been asked many times to sell it in the 4 days of having it!

We are all screwed as soon as some moron gets hold of one of these things without having had a full safety briefing so please don't sell it to anyone.

Yep.. I share your concerns. I´m very far away from you, and don´t really want to sell it... But I can see this being banned very soon. Too much power... too many morons!!

I also have an Arctic S3. I wanted it to see if there claims on the specs were correct of a

Beam Divergence of 1.5mRad. I thought maybe they were using Cylindrical lenses.

Well there specs are bull shit, down right lies. Mine is only putting out 570mw, they are using what looks like the same lens that Aixiz sells. Now I have to say the housing is nice and there is room for more optics if it were to be redesigned. For $200 I quess its a fair deal considering the nice host. I am trying to get the driver out with out destroying it but so far no luck. If you want to see inside one look at this thread.

Thanks for the link... was a really good chuckle... and - before I get harpooned by any LPF-zealots - I'm not 'laughing' at either LPF or the 'reviewer', or any of the 'pointer-people', in general, etc - the 'laughter' is simply at 'Wanton Lasers', there... boy oh boy are they in for a 'long walk off a short pier', or what?!... imagine all the 'returns' / refunds / ticked-off pointerers, right now, worldwide??... I just shake my head in awe... I mean, can anyone *really* 'be-surprized', here??

Oh well... like you said... at least it's a nice 'host' (aka $200. aluminum tube)... Tanks for the link and your candid-post...

...'in other news', I also thought this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngQKnc9tZeE was really funny...

    Default Voltage question...

I´m powering the G1 in my build with a ATX PSU at 3.4V
    The batteries supplied are 3.7V
I´m not getting full power... Can I feed it more than 3.7 volts without killing it?
I have a 4.5V PSU lying around and of course the ATX PSU can supply 5V also.

    Any ideas?

It is known that 3.6 Volt batteries at full charge are
    at a 4.2 Volt potential...
