I think you are safe sticking with the Manufacturers Voltage
specifications...
I've exceeded the manufacturer's Voltage specs a few times
with different types of Lasers and had mixed results...
Some worked great... and some died...
But to take the risk not to heed the Specs... that risk was my
own choice...

i somehow managed to get one of these that doesnt suck. the build quality/div. and power are all damn decent....
or id say avg 1100 mW is damn decent..
I wonder if a kind soul would have a power meter at the forthcoming UKLEM to measure such a unit ...........
im sure someone would.
