What price range are you looking at for it?
142laser: Just FYI, a lot of laser power meters are actually 0-10mW units
that use external optical power attenuators (eg 100:1) to measure higher
power... (Though most laser power meters are also antiques as well)

Yes the OD filters are needed as the detector will saturate...the eye is amazing this way. A Bausch and Lomb laser power meter is really probably an antique...no kidding. Ever seen a Bausch and Lomb laser? I have but not for many many years.
